Custom designs: – It only makes sense: if your business is unique, your web site should be too. The first step to an effective design is me picking your brain (metaphorically, of course). I need to know about your business and what it’s online purpose is. I need to know who your clients are, and how we can make something they really want.
Since I’m a programmer too, I always try to incorporate some smart functions in addition to the pretty stuff. I write CSS/xHTML, Flash, AJAX and other Javascript from scratch.
Templates? While I do design templates to sell on 3rd party web sites, I don’t recommend using them unless you fully understand the fact that other businesses will have the same site as you…. it can be awkward. If you really want to use a specific template, show it to me and I’ll give you my honest opinion.
